The investigation of insurance claims relating to medical care is very specialist area and one which Dr. Peter L. d'Ambrumenil has been heavily involved in for many years.

Most such claims can be resolved by means of telephone calls to treating Doctors and this in its own way means that the cost of the investigation is low whilst the saving is massive. That is not to say that most claims are anything but genuine however there is a definitely significant minority whose basis is to say the least fraudulent.

A Doctor is the one person who can easily discuss and decide upon the necessity for a given course of treatment and  Dr. Peter L. d’Ambrumenil has found that by speaking to a Doctor it is more often the case that it is eventually decide that such claims dissolve or are made much less significant.

On rare occasions it may be necessary for the Investigator to travel to the Hospital and personally investigate and decide upon the way in which the insurers should respond to the claim.

It is almost always that such a trip results in a massive saving to the insurer.

The Country is no predictor of the outcome or even the number or size of claim. The exposure to excessive costs is not restricted to those countries which one normally associates with such over charging.

In a few cases it is possible for the investigator to arrange to repatriate the patient from the Hospital and act as an Escort enabling the evacuation to take place immediately
